Head for the Hills

(2018 - 2023)

Poets, a new poetry series is afoot in Oregon. And what a fresh offering is the Head for the Hills poetry series. Its founder, Sherri Levine, is doing her very best to feature many of Oregon’s talented poets. The sky is the limit for this thriving poetry series.

I exhort Oregon poets to rally in support of this wonderful poetry series.

Founded and organized by Sherri Levine, now hosted by Dale Champlin, Head for the Hills is a thriving reading series celebrating established and emerging poets in the Pacific Northwest.

The series began in the Hillsdale Library in 2019, transitioned to Zoom from 2020-2022. Live in-person performances will resume in April 2023!

Each event includes featured readings from two poets, plus an open mic welcoming all from our community.

Head for the Hills is also made possible by Dale Champlin, who has been involved from the very beginning. In addition to coming up with the flyers for Head for the Hills, Dale has enjoyed hosting featured readers on occasion.
